Psychologically Informed Workplace Development
We co-produce psychologically informed workshops, coaching and development programmes with organisations, creating learning that reflects their people, culture, priorities and operating environment.
Every intervention is made for the organisation in front of us. We do not take a predetermined programme and make superficial adjustments. We work collaboratively with organisational stakeholders to understand the desired outcomes, lived workplace challenges and different roles within the participant group. These insights shape the programme’s content, scenarios, resources and methods of application.
Our work supports leaders, managers, professionals and teams to strengthen wellbeing, emotional intelligence, communication, resilience and reflective practice.
Co-produced and made for your organisation
Co-production begins with listening. Depending on the scale of the work, this may involve stakeholder meetings, participant insight, organisational information, existing evaluation data and discussion of the situations people encounter in practice.
Together, we establish:
-
what the organisation is seeking to change;
-
what participants need to understand, practise or approach differently;
-
the organisational tensions and scenarios learning should address;
-
the needs of different roles and participant groups;
-
appropriate accessibility and neuroinclusive adjustments;
-
how learning will be applied and evaluated.
We use this understanding to create relevant content, scenarios, activities and psychoeducational resources. Feedback continues to inform the programme during delivery, allowing learning to remain responsive while protecting agreed outcomes and consistent core content.
The result is not a standard model made to fit your organisation. It is a psychologically informed intervention made with and for your organisation.
Building internal capability
Our aim is not simply to deliver an engaging intervention. We work with organisations to strengthen the knowledge, confidence and practical capability that remain after our involvement has ended.
Learning is designed for continued workplace application. Participants develop a shared psychological language, practical tools and reflective processes that can be used independently in everyday leadership, management and team situations.
Depending on the organisation’s aims, we can support internal capability through:
-
co-produced resources, facilitator guidance and practical toolkits;
-
reusable psychoeducational and digital learning materials;
-
reflective activities that connect learning to workplace experience;
-
opportunities to practise, review and adapt new behaviours;
-
facilitated communities of practice and peer learning;
-
internal facilitator development;
-
observation, supported practice and constructive feedback;
-
evaluation findings that inform future organisational development.
Where internal facilitator development is included, nominated members of the organisation are supported to understand and confidently facilitate the co-produced programme. Development extends beyond learning its content to include inclusive facilitation, group management, communication, psychological safety, professional boundaries and responding appropriately to sensitive discussions.
The organisation therefore retains an approach that its people understand and have helped to shape. This embeds knowledge and capability internally, supports continuity and reduces reliance on ongoing external intervention.
An integrated psychological approach
Our programmes draw upon multiple, complementary areas of psychology. We select and integrate psychological knowledge according to the organisation’s aims, its working environment and the needs of the people participating.
This creates depth without asking participants to adopt a single model or prescribed way of leading. Different psychological perspectives provide lenses through which people can examine their emotions, motivation, assumptions, relationships and behaviour. Participants are supported to consider the evidence, connect it to their own context and make informed decisions about how they want to apply it.
Learning develops progressively. Participants first build relevant psychological knowledge and then explore what it means within their role and organisation. They apply that understanding to realistic workplace situations, reflect on what happens in practice, evaluate the effect of their responses and adapt their future approach.
This process develops metacognition: the ability to notice and examine one’s thinking, emotions and behaviour while making increasingly intentional choices. Over time, participants develop a self-regulating cycle of noticing, understanding, applying, reflecting and adapting.
The outcome is not simply greater knowledge. People become better equipped to continue learning from experience, respond thoughtfully to changing situations and take ownership of their professional development. This strengthens internal capability because participants retain a repeatable process they can use independently after the formal programme has ended.
“Wellbeing Workshops Devon CIC created a programme that reflected our organisation, our people and the challenges they were facing. Psychological ideas were explained in an accessible and practical way, enabling participants to connect the learning to their own roles rather than feeling that they were being given a fixed model to follow.
The sessions created space for honest reflection while remaining purposeful, inclusive and focused on practical application. Participants left with a stronger understanding of themselves, useful approaches they could apply in the workplace and a clear process for continuing to learn from experience.”
“Lauren from Wellbeing Workshops Devon CIC designed the session around the needs and challenges we had identified as a trust. She translated psychological theory into clear, accessible learning that was relevant to both teachers and senior leaders.
Her facilitation encouraged reflection while keeping the day practical and focused. Participants developed approaches they could use to manage their wellbeing, understand their responses to pressure and apply psychologically informed practice within their teaching and leadership.”
“Lauren designed and delivered a psychologically informed session that was relevant to the varied responsibilities of our community leadership team. She brought together different psychological perspectives in a clear and accessible way, helping participants understand how their wellbeing, emotions, motivation and behaviour can influence their work with colleagues and communities.
The session was engaging, reflective and grounded in practical application. Lauren created an inclusive environment in which people could consider different perspectives, recognise their strengths and identify realistic changes they could apply within their roles.”
