Sexuality and Race Explored Workshops

Sexuality and race are hot topics within the media and human rights notions. Young people often have many unanswered questions and misconceptions about both of these topics. Our workshops aim to address these misconceptions and educate the youth of today.

Why do we deliver these workshops?

The business is run by a variety of women who are within the LGBTQ+ community and delivering sessions which educate about the discrimination still within the world is something which we are passionate about. We also support the battle against racism and want to promote equal opportunities within our workshops and within our company set up.

Please note: Our Sexuality and Race Explored workshops are not for profit, after covering our costs we donate the profits to two charities: Stonewall and Stand Against Racism and Inequality (SARI)

Making a profit from racism and homophobia is not our intention. This is why we donate our profits to relevant charities. Each year we publish the amount we have donated. Diversity within Wellbeing Workshops is essential, as we grow so will the content of our workshops. If you have a topic you would like to see delivered then please do contact us.

What are the aims of our Sexuality and Race Explored workshops

The aim of our sexuality and race explored workshops is to grow awareness and understanding of the some of the discrimination that still exists in the world. Through educating young people we hope to support positive attitudes towards these communities and develop an understanding of the misconceptions they might have towards the BAME and LGBTQ+ communities.

Also, the workshops aim to support young people who are part of these communities and give them a voice, someone they can relate to and show them that it is okay. Some of them may not have ‘come out’ yet or are concerned about their race and ethnicity. These workshops give them a chance to listen, speak out if they want to and address their fears and misconceptions.
